The Indian Air Force conducts the Air Force Common Admission Test twice every year. Through the Air Force Common Admission Test, qualified candidates are selected for the posts of Flying Branch Technical and Non Technical in the Indian Air Force. Based on this test, the candidates are selected in the Indian Air Force and here the examination is conducted in two phases. In the first phase written test is conducted, candidates who pass the written examination are called for the physical test.

The written examination will be conducted in three stages-
Phase-I: Written Examination
Phase-II: Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Interview
Phase-III: Physical Fitness Examination

- The questions asked in this exam will be objective-type multiple-choice.
- Each question will carry 3 marks.
- This test will have negative marking, with one mark deducted as a penalty for each incorrect answer.
- The questions asked in the Numerical Ability question paper will be of 10th standard level.
- The questions asked in the question paper of other subjects will be of a graduation level.
- The question paper will be in English.
